The Communist Party of America (CPA) was launched on April 11th, 2025. We formed because we recognized the inability of the American left, by itself, to challenge Trump fascism or to lead a socialist revolution in America.

The CPA is a clandestine, proletarian, militant, cadre-based political party devoted to overthrowing the Trump dictatorship and leading a socialist revolution in America.

We proclaim the possibility of civil war between democratic forces and Trump fascism, and we proclaim the inevitability of revolutionary civil war, in the form of protracted people’s war, to overthrow the United States government and replace it with a democratic socialist republic.

The CPA is Marxist-Leninist-Maoist-Gonzaloist, or simply Gonzaloist. This means that we recognize all the basic developments of Marxism, Leninism and Maoism and regard Gonzalo’s ideas - great leadership, concentric construction, militarization of the Party, violence as the highest form of struggle, and combined urban and rural guerrilla warfare - as being a concrete development of Communist struggle.

We support the people’s wars in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Colombia, India, Peru, the Philippines, and Turkey. However, we also support the socialist states in Democratic “North” Korea, China, Cuba, Vietnam and Laos, although we are critical of their revisionism.

Our strategy for revolution in the United States of America hinges on the construction of the underground Party among the working class and oppressed and colonized people.
