We Decry Socialist Collaboration With Zionism
Statement of the Communist Party of America
Zionism is not Judaism, and Israel is not the Jewish people. Zionism is a settler-colonial, racist, fascist ideology - Judaism is a religion and an identity. Israel is a nation-state, Jewish people are a demographic. To conflate the two is to racistly assume that all Jews support Israel, which isn't true, or that Judaism and Zionism are identical, when in fact they're contradictory. The continual and intentional conflation by fascists of Israel and Jewish people is an attempt to disarm the Palestinian national liberation struggle by falsely portraying opposition to Israel as "antisemitism." Nothing could be further from the truth. The Communist Party of America, and all decent people, denounce all forms of racism, including antisemitism, which has no place in any of our movements. Our critique of Israel stems from its objective role as an oppressor, and has nothing to do with the religion or cultural identity of anyone. We condemn the antisemitic remarks by leadership of the so-called American "Communist" Party and insist they do not belong on the Left, let alone in the communist camp.
Jewish people should have the right to live in peace and harmony with others everywhere in the world and should not be silod in a theocratic ethnostate built through theft and murder. We support full democratic and equal rights for Jewish people in America and everywhere in the world, including Palestine, except for settlers, who deserve to be expropriated by force.
The Communist Party of Israel is a Zionist organization. They legitimate the racist, pseudo-"democratic" institutions of the Zionist entity through their participation in the Knesset, willingly serving as loyal opposition and a foil to 'prove' real democracy is possible under Zionism, which it is not. By participating in the Zionist entity they help to reinforce its existence by fooling the masses into voting when they could be escalating the struggle to bring down the regime. Their representative has insulted the Gaza Uprising by condemning it as a "terrible, criminal massacre committed by Hamas." They characterize Israel as "on the road to fascism," as if it were not already completely fascist.
Their fraternal party in Palestine, the Palestine People's Party, does nothing to support the armed struggle against the Zionist occupier, sheepdogging their supporters into pacifism even while Palestine is being obliterated in a genocide. Pacifism in the face of genocidal violence is not moral. By not joining the fight in the face of genocide, they are abandoning their comrades to their fate, and by demobilizing the people in this way, they are effectively aiding the fascist Israeli regime.
What is needed from the CPI and PPP is not pacifism, reformism and electoralism but armed struggle to rescue the beleaguered Resistance and bring about an insurgency to topple the Zionist entity. All talk of peaceful, legal and democratic dismantling of the genocidal dictatorship there objectively aids the Zionists by protecting them from the one thing that will destroy them: armed struggle.
The Communist Party, USA, through its repeated hosting of and close ties with the CPI, also expresses a de facto Zionist position. Until last summer the CPUSA called for the liberal Zionist position of the so-called "two-state solution" which allows Israel to continue occupying Palestinian land indefinitely. Now they call, essentially, for the people there to determine the form of their own liberation, thus avoiding giving definitive political support to the Resistance and kicking the can down the road regarding the question of the state of Israel. Through this equivocation, the CPUSA helps to play defense for the continued existence of Israel - and we denounce them as a Zionist organization.
Two Democratic "Socialists" of America members, one an elected representative to Congress and the other their candidate for New York City Mayor, both recently made Zionist statements, one recognizing the "right" of Israel to exist and the other their "right" to "defend themselves." These are social-imperialist sentiments: "social" in that they are couched in concern for Americans, but fundamentally imperialist in that they reinforce support for Zionism and Israel, an imperialist project. We denounce the DSA as a Zionist organization for continuing to harbor these social-Zionists and for condemning the valiant attack on the two Zionists in the employ of the Israeli Embassy in D.C. They do not support the Palestinian national liberation struggle because they oppose the armed struggle which is central to success.
The Party for "Socialism" and "Liberation" also denounced the armed action by their former comrade, who bravely took down two Israeli Little Eichmanns. By renouncing the armed struggle they directly abandon the brave fighters who more than anyone are challenging the Zionists in America. Despite their other words and protests, this pacifist position vis a vis Israel only serves to defend the Israeli state. We therefore condemn the PSL as a Zionist organization.
The supposedly socialist parties here are in fact social-imperialist, because they are Zionists who refuse to face the challenge of war to defeat Israel. They are even social-fascist because they effectively are defending a fascist power against attack. Their misleadership causes the class conscious vanguard to be misdirected into a purely pacifist, and mostly legalist strategy when what is needed is escalation of the struggle to new heights. There is still more to be done before the stage of democratic or revolutionary civil war, but by abandoning the fighters to their fates now these false comrades set a horrible precedent for the eventual armed struggle. We must stick by our captured fighters, be they revolutionaries or national liberation fighters.
The Communist Party of America, CPA, is unequivocal: we oppose the Israeli nation-state as a fundamentally Zionist project which is inherently settler-colonial, racist and fascist, and we call for the military defeat of Israel, the dismantling of the Israeli state, the uninhibited right of return and for the formation of one democratic, socialist Palestine.
Communist Parties cannot collaborate with or support Israel or Zionism and must support the Palestinian national liberation struggle, and especially the armed struggle as that is the only way for Israel to finally be defeated.
Socialist China, Laos and Vietnam each have relationships with Israel. We rebuke these socialist governments for their diplomatic and economic relationships legitimating and aiding Israel, including militarily. This is a social-imperialist deviation that objectively aids Zionism and the Zionist entity. Diplomatic recognition normalizes Israel, trade strengthens it, and military trade contributes to the repression and genocide of Palestinians and the suppression of their national liberation struggle.
These countries have fostered relationships with Israel ultimately because of their market-driven social systems, a product of modern revisionism. The Party must take the reigns, reign in the capitalists and put a stop to all dealings with Israel. Cuba and North Korea have commendable stances and do not recognize Israel, and socialist Korea has been known to support the Axis of Resistance. Cuba and socialist Korea are models of socialist foreign policy concerning Israel.
It is the solemn and urgent duty of the socialist governments to permanently end all relations with Israel, not only to disentangle themselves from the genocide but to help to isolate and weaken Israel in preparation for its final defeat. Furthermore, the socialist countries must seek ways to aid the Palestinian national liberation armed struggle.
Socialist collaboration with, support or apologetics for, or defense of Israel, Zionism, or Zionists is completely unacceptable. Israel must be defeated and dismantled by force, and socialists - Communists especially - must throw their weight behind the armed Palestinian national liberation struggle to defeat the fascist, genocidal Israeli occupier. Anything less is tantamount to Zionism, and failure is not an option.
It is the goal and duty of the CPA to see to it that all support for Zionism in America is destroyed and that the Zionist movement be smashed, as it is a fascist movement, by any means necessary, as part of the wider fight against fascism and especially the fascist Trump dictatorship. This is the road to people's war, the road to socialism.
Mohamed Soliman is a Brave Hero of the People
Statement of the Communist Party of America
Boulder Run For Their Lives is a Zionist organization, despite their protestations to the contrary. Founded by two Israeli ex-pats in California, they insist that theirs is a purely humanitarian position of concern for hostages. For some peculiar reason they have chosen to exclusively focus on the Israeli hostages in Palestine and completely ignore the far more numerous Palestinian hostages in Israeli prisons, some as young as 12 years old.
Choosing exclusively to focus on the Israeli hostages in Palestine, they help Zionism to defang the Palestinian Resistance by seeking to rob them of one of their strongest bargaining chips, Israeli lives. These lives are so much more valuable to Israel than the lives of the people of other nations, in particular Palestine but also Lebanon, Syria etc., that they commit genocide and yet still fixate on 58 people. This demonstrates the utter racism of Zionism.
The CPA also hopes for the healthy and safe return of the hostages: in exchange for meeting all of the demands of the Resistance, according to their positions, who are righteous and justified in their struggle. It must be recalled also that the Israelis captured are not innocent, but were supporting, connected with, enmeshed in and benefiting from Zionism, from the presence and existence of Israeli racist settler-colonialism, Zionism. If they should suffer or die due to the recalcitrance of the Zionist entity, that is fully and completely the responsibility of the Zionist aggressor and colonizer, of fascist Israel.
Yesterday, Sunday, June 1st, 2025 a lone assailant attacked Boulder Run For Our Lives at their weekly run using a flamethrower and molotov cocktails. This attack was harsh, violent, and foolish, yet it was righteous and justified. Zionists are fascists and deserve to be attacked in the streets and terrorized into obscurity by proletarian violence. Flamethrowers and molotov cocktails are legitimate weapons of the proletariat due to their simplicity and ease of use, and a Zionist gathering is always a legitimate target. A grenade, a machine-gun, a rocket or a missile would have all done a better job, but the people work with what they have. It must be remembered that workers and poor people will always be portrayed as somehow especially "brutal" for the weapons they choose to use, yet we know that the imperialists wield unbelievable mass-murderous firepower capable of annihilating whole countries and regions, and evil Israel is using huge bombs to blow up helpless civilians.
It is unfortunate but irrelevant that the victims were Jewish or that one of the victims was a Holocaust survivor. The victims were targeted because they are supporting the genocidal, racist war aims of Israel, not because of their religion or identities. The "hate crime" charge is farcical: we know that comrade Soliman was attacking them as Zionists on behalf of Palestine.
As with the other recent attacks - the assassination attempts on Trump, the assassination of the healthcare CEO, the revenge killing of the police officer, the assassination of the two Israeli Embassy employees - and the defeated plot to attack the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv, we are sympathetic, yet critical. It is not that violence is wrong, it is that it must be carried out in an organized fashion, coherently, according to a strategy and led by a revolutionary people's military under the command of a revolutionary party, a Communist Party - the Communist Party of America.
We would not have supported this attack, not on the grounds that violence against agents of Zionism is immoral - it isn't - but on the grounds that the chosen tactic was wrong. The comrade should have joined forces with the community to forcefully and militantly oppose and disperse the Zionist presence, collectively. This is the way to deal with peaceful, unarmed Zionist forces. We call on the Boulder anti-fascist community to unite in opposition to all further Zionist expressions in their city. Nonetheless, the violence was still morally justified as a deterrent to Zionist excursions of any sort.
We don't encourage more terrorist attacks, not because those that have occurred were wrong or bad - they were morally sound - but because we need to build political unity now, so that we can maintain political leadership over the revolutionary military, which can carry out a revolutionary military strategy capable of, among other things, achieving strategic victories on the Palestine front. Striking out as an individual is unwise - better to link up with your comrades. It is important also to consider your long-term importance as a national liberation and/or revolutionary fighter: why sacrifice yourself when you can plot to get away, and live to fight another day?
The CPA urges all national liberation and revolutionary fighters to join us in the struggle against Zionism, against fascism, against capitalism and for socialist revolution. Alone, individual fighters face extreme risk and relatively low prospects of success. Together, brave fighters can strike at the heart of the oppressors and exploiters. It is not easy, but together we will get there.
Comrades, do not sacrifice yourselves in heroic but vain attacks. Link up with your comrades and together let's build the people's army for national liberation and socialist revolution!
Some may feel that this is "kicking the can down the road," by delaying violence that is desperately needed now. On the contrary, by confining violence as it is now to the box of individual terrorism, the full depth and breadth of the people's armed struggle's development is delayed. It is only once the people learn the need to not only "stay strapped," but also to form up first into militia and then into the people's army under the leadership of the Party, the CPA, that the armed struggle can be transformed from an operationally bereft struggle likely to end in limited effects, capture, defeat or death, into a big armed struggle supported by the masses and really capable of crushing Zionism in America and thus helping to deal a major blow to Zionism worldwide.
We are now in a period of armed struggle, the earliest such period, the period of individual terrorism, against fascism, genocide and capitalism. This is a good thing: it shows that some among the people are now willing to take up arms against the enemies of the people. We commend all of the fighters' bravery and audacity in taking on the oppressors and exploiters. However, in order for the armed struggle to advance, Party and military leadership is necessary, otherwise the struggle will stall out and cannot then achieve strategic victories. The fight must be directed.
Most of all, mass support is necessary. This requires that the masses learn the need for armed struggle and appreciate the importance of political violence. This requires the organized leadership of the CPA, without which the masses will continue to be taken in by liberal-fascist lies denigrating the people's heroes and will continue to strike out in vain in politics, without a serious revolutionary strategy.
We condemn the U.S. Left's silence on the attack and abandonment of this heroic fighter for Palestinian national liberation as political cowardice, refusal to defend a people's hero in the face of genocidal fascism for fear of persecution, or worse, in defense of the lives of Zionists and their political "right" to free speech and freedom of assembly. We further condemn the left-liberal pacifist statements expressing sympathy for the Zionists and indicting this brave fighter.
The CPA brooks no support for fascists, be they Zionists or otherwise, and we call on all anti-fascist people to mobilize into the streets to militantly oppose all fascist demonstrations, processions, rallies etc. of whatever sort. Community direct action to forcibly disperse the Zionists is what is necessary as a precursor to the greater struggle to dislodge the Zionists and Trump fascists from the government. We urge activists and fighters to join together under the leadership of the CPA as we struggle to unite the national liberation and socialist revolutionary movements.

No More Talking Heads
By Will Pankhurst
For a decade or longer now, and especially in the recent period, a number of "talking head" Internet personalities have emerged on the U.S. Left, promoting their personal opinions and pet theories, aggrandizing themselves, profiteering from the movement and spreading confusion.
Instead of learning the lesson of Lenin's "What Is To Be Done," that there must be a centralized propaganda wing controlled by the Party, these individuals have seen fit to ride on the backs of the people's movements and the socialist movement in order to promote their own selves.
This refusal to submit propaganda to Party discipline has resulted in a rather whimsical and mass-individualist approach which has led in the extreme case to social media personalities engineering an entire fake "Communist" party, the third-positionist "American Communist Party."
This party, led by abusive bigots and incompetent grifters, feeds like a leech on the disunity and confusion in the American Communist movement, exploiting the fact that so many Communists are - because of the counter-revolutionary and social-fascist disposition of the DSA, the traitorousness of the CPUSA, and the opportunism of the PSL, for example - "lost in the sauce."
The Communist movement is desperate for a genuine Communist Party, and the talking heads not only will never deliver this, they have a vested interest in opposing our advance, the advance of the CPA. Their own egos, their own incomes, which are predicated on usurping attention and resources from genuinely revolutionary forces and redirecting them into the incapacitated online leftist echo chamber, incentivize them against throwing their lot in with the revolutionary party.
What is a genuinely revolutionary party? It is not one which does and says all the right things - parties are comprised of people and people are imperfect. It is not one comprised of self-described "revolutionaries," the ideologically aligned, for conviction a revolution does not make. It is not one which is necessarily popular: mass support must be earned over time, not constructed through opportunism and revisionism, which are very popular today. It is not one which proclaims, as the PLP does, 'revolution now,' which is an unserious non-strategy.
A revolutionary party is a political organization which is not only willing to carry out a revolution, but which is constructed to be able to actually carry out a revolution, and which is equipped by a revolutionary ideology and strategy, and which is guided by a genuinely revolutionary leadership.
This is why organizations like DSA, CPUSA and PSL -the big three - cannot lead the socialist revolution in the United States. They are lacking either in revolutionary leadership, ideology, strategy or organizational structure.
The talking heads cannot substitute the concentrated political ideological propaganda apparatus of the party, and do not supplement it, but actively undermine the centralization of propaganda. In this way they reinforce the disunity on the Left which leads to individuals joining these incompetent parties and organizations.
The Internet personalities, if they were worth their salt, would rally around the revolutionary party. Instead they continue to associate with the discredited DSA, et. al.
Of course we cannot expect such people to jump ship and join the CPA: we are a small, nearly invisible outfit. As time marches on, however, it will become clear that the individualist approach to propaganda will be revealed as wholly inadequate. Ultimately it will come to be seen and understood by wider and wider layers of the movement that more can be achieved when we unite and combine our forces to achieve a much more monolithic propaganda effect, than we can as individuals, and that by engaging in "Communist" politics as individuals, such people are forgetting the most basic lesson of the Communist movement, the need for the leadership of the revolutionary Party.
Joseph Neumeyer is a Brave Hero - and his Arrest Proves the Need for Party Leadership Over the Armed Struggle
Statement of the Communist Party of America
On May 19th, 28-year-old Joseph Neumeyer planned a firebombing attack at one of the Palestinian genocide's main headquarters, the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv. The brave anti-Zionist, anti-fascist fighter for Palestinian national liberation and American liberation from fascism marched past the Embassy, where he defiantly spit on a guard. This brave but stupid act caused him to be caught with three molotov cocktails. He has now been repatriated, arrested, and is being charged with the planning of the attack, with threatening "death to Americans," and "death to Trump."
It must be said that insofar as his position is literally against Americans in general, we oppose this wrong-headed and un-internationalist stance which denies the oppression, exploitation and revolutionary potential of the American masses. Nevertheless, we uphold his valiant, though thwarted, attempt at 'bringing the war home' and attacking the fascist genocidaires. However, we once again urge the people's fighters to refrain from individual terrorist attacks like these, since there is no coherent political center representing the mass movement which is directing them.
The armed struggle can only succeed when it is waged by the people's army, controlled by the Communist Party. Without this political center to train, educate and unite the people and revolutionary forces, individual combatants are bound to have only limited effects, to make mistakes and to be unable to effect strategic progress in the movement.
Like Elias Rodriguez and Luigi Mangione, Joseph Neumeyer is a terrorist. Their terrorism proves that individuals are emerging from among the people who are ready and willing to undertake armed struggle. The people who reach the correct conclusion that armed struggle is necessary and justified should not undertake individual terrorist attacks but should instead unite with the advanced guard of the proletariat, the Communist Party of America, in preparation for the inevitable people's war.
The CPA recognizes that we cannot stop or control individual terrorist outbursts - they are objective phenomena independent of the will of anyone except those individuals who are alone responsible for their own actions. What we can do is train and educate our own ranks, and educate our supporters and those who listen to us, in the lesson that these attacks teach the movement: the need for Communist leadership over a people's army, and the need for a people's army's leadership over the armed struggle of the masses. Only then may the terrorist assaults by individuals be supplanted by a general offensive of the masses: people's war.
We are now in a period of armed struggle, the period of individual terrorism which always precedes the period of guerrilla struggle. It is the period when some individuals among the masses are realizing the need for armed struggle but when the masses as such have not yet reached that conclusion. This is a crucial period for political education of the masses and especially of the fighters. Everyone must stand by every captured, injured and slain fighter as a true defender of the people, a true opponent of genocide and fascism. The enemy will feed on our disunity - our strength is through our solidarity, and nowhere is this more important than in regards to the armed struggle. We won't abandon our comrades. While we don't support initiating armed struggle now, neither do we support betraying comrades who jump out ahead of the movement.
Witness how other "Communist" Parties rush to condemn or altogether ignore anyone who takes up arms against the fascist U.S. or Israel, who are committing genocide. Rather than taking hold of and directing the armed struggle, they rail against it, or conceal it, politically disarming the workers and oppressed and isolating the most self-sacrificing of the fighters when they should be educating the fighters and uniting the fighters with the masses under their own leadership and through the leadership of the people's army.
We must also warn against adventurism, where small groups carry out armed actions 'on behalf of' the masses. This is also a probably inevitable stepping-stone on the road to people's war, to perhaps come in the following period. Adventurism might include a greater focus on attacking and battling the police and armed forces, however, without the support of the masses it is strategically doomed. The lesson to be learned is that there is no successful armed struggle without the support of the masses, who must be radicalized and that is the task of the Communist Party.
We implore those on the left with terrorist ideas to recognize that while they are ethically correct in their conclusion that armed struggle is necessary and justified, it is nevertheless a mistake to jump out ahead of the masses without centralized political leadership, without a command structure, without a people's army.

Memorial Day 2025
Statement of the Communist Party of America
Communists have a complex relationship with Memorial Day. On Memorial Day, we honor the revolutionary guerrilla fighters who overthrew imperial, monarchical rule in the American Revolution, the U.S. troops who fought and died to defeat the slavers in the Civil War, as well as the Americans who fought and died in the struggle against fascism. These were progressive wars to defeat monarchism, slavery and fascism, although their progressive nature was seriously hampered by all kinds of reactionary, racist and settler-colonialist crimes, by atrocity crimes and crimes against humanity.
In the Revolutionary War, the colonists defended their slavery and settler-colonialism even as they advanced republican ideals. In the Civil War, the North used scorched-Earth tactics, destroying crops which led to women and children starving and leaving freed slaves to be gunned down or recaptured by Confederates such as in the Ebenezer Creek Massacre. In World War 2, U.S. pilots knowingly and intentionally strafed German prison trains, slaughtering helpless prisoners victimized by the Nazi regime. The U.S., together with the British, also firebombed Dresden, resulting in as many as 25,000 deaths - by and large civilians. Perhaps most infamously, the U.S. dropped two nuclear weapons, both on civilian cities, mass-murdering approximately a quarter of a million people - nobody knows the true number - and injuring some further 94,000 people. While many were troops or connected with the state or military, the vast majority of victims were civilians. We do not honor those responsible for these crimes against humanity, but condemn them.
Every other war fought by the U.S., from the War of 1812 to the recent air war over Yemen, has been thoroughly reactionary, with no progressive qualities whatsoever. The American soldiers who have fought and died in these wars have all died in vain, and their actions have been those of a criminal gang, a gang of imperialists. Communists cannot honor such people, the armed defenders and fighters of capitalism and imperialism, who have devoted their lives to upholding U.S. domination, oppression, exploitation and mass-murder around the world.
Yet, neither do we despise the individual soldier who has committed no crime, who usually joins the military because of their upbringing, their context and due to their ignorance and the intentional conflation of valor with service in the U.S. military by the state. To these soldiers, sailors and and aviators, joining the military appears to them as their best possible option, and due to their ignorance they cannot be expected to understand how their choice will play into the hands of global oppression. This is not an excuse for crimes committed, but it does excuse mere presence in the bourgeois military.
Today, as the dark shadow of fascism descends over the capitalist imperialist U.S.A., it is more important than ever that the rank-and-file of the military be educated in the true, evil history of American settler-colonialism, neocolonialism, imperialism and genocide and be apprised of the Communist fight for justice, freedom and democracy for the working class: socialism.
This Memorial Day, we urge our fellow Americans in the armed forces to reject Trump's fascist machinations and genocidal U.S. imperialist policy globally. Do not assist fascist, genocidal Israel in any way! Do not assist U.S. imperialism in any way! Abandon your posts! Mutiny! Refuse any orders to mobilize in defense of Israel and any orders to occupy the American interior! When the orders come from on high, refuse to fire on your fellow Americans!
The conflict between the people and the dictatorship is bound to become increasingly sharp, and U.S. troops will have a choice to make: serve the dictator, or uphold the Constitution and serve the people. As the class war develops between the workers and oppressed people on the one hand and the U.S. capitalists and their fascist state on the other, the conflict is bound sooner or later to spill over into actual war. In that case we again urge our compatriots to refuse to fight against the American people.
“There is no flag large enough to cover the shame of killing innocent people.”

On the 5 Year Anniversary of George Floyd's Murder
Statement of the Communist Party of America
May 25th, 2025
Elias Rodriguez, age 30, put his life on the line when he attacked and killed two Zionist Little Eichmanns, Israeli Embassy staffers in Washington, D.C. Under arrest, he shouted "Free, free Palestine!" clearly revealing his motive: to attack the Zionist entity, aiding the Palestinian armed resistance to occupation, fascism and genocide.
Israel has been waging a genocidal war against Palestine in both Gaza and the West Bank. Resignations, phonecalls to representatives, testimony in U.S. government hearings, rallies, protests, occupations, hunger-strikes and even self-immolations have all failed to stop the genocide. People are beginning to reach the conclusion that the way forward is armed struggle, violence against the fascist powers, Israel and the U.S. government.
We commend the bravery and heroic self-sacrifice of Elias, who acted alone according to his convictions. We do not disavow terrorism against fascist states, as it is a legitimate form of struggle when the state itself is terrorist. However, we urge fighters to refrain from individual terrorism, although it is righteous and justified, because there is not yet a people's army to properly direct the armed struggle against fascism, against Zionism, against the genocidal Israeli state and its close ally, the fascist United States dictatorship.
We condemn the despicable disavowal of Elias by the Party for Socialism and Liberation, PSL, who stated in regards to the shooting, "We ... do not support it." This pathetic and cowardly position reeks of betrayal. The PSL, by this statement, has thrown a heroic fighter for Palestinian national liberation under the bus and to the wolves. We also condemn the similarly pitiful and ridiculous statement by the so-called "Communist Party," USA, or CPUSA, which declaimed that "We completely reject the murders as a form of struggle," kneecapping the Palestinian national liberation movement and giving fascist, genocidal Israel a free pass to continue operating in the United States.
The CPUSA statement scandalously and absurdly announced that such actions "set the stage for repression," literally blaming the victims - the Palestinian national liberation movement in the U.S. - for the crimes of the oppressor, as if the U.S. was not already fascistically repressing the movement. It is blaming a hero for standing up to a bully, and it is absolutely reprehensible coming from a so-called "Communist" group. Elias cannot be held responsible for provoking the U.S. and Israeli fascists, who are already committing genocide.
Far from harming the movement, it is imperative that the revolutionary party gain control of the armed struggle. As Lenin explained, "It is said that guerrilla acts disorganize our work. [...] It is not guerrilla actions which disorganize the movement, but the weakness of a party which is incapable of taking such actions under its control." The PSL, CPUSA and other, in practice, pacifist parties cannot and therefore will not direct the armed struggle, but this is an objective phenomenon that occurs among the masses independently of the will of any political organization: some people inevitably reach the correct conclusion that armed struggle is not only justified, it is necessary. Meanwhile, the pseudo-revolutionary parties such as PSL and CPUSA will never support armed struggle here because they are compromised, being above-ground, but also because they are ideologically wooly-eyed and cannot see the line of march of the struggle against Zionism, against fascism and genocide, against the capitalist state. They have rejected the fundamental tenet of Marxism-Leninism, the necessity of the armed struggle, not only in social revolution but in national liberation as well, and in so doing they betray the bravest fighters of the people's movements.
Without direction from a people's military, individual terror cannot be coordinated to affect strategic goals, and, without a revolutionary, armed party directing the people's army, the latter can lose its political moorings in the struggle. That is why our Communist Party urges the brave people's fighters to stand down, and join the CPA so that we can build this party to lead the fight. Without this central direction, the heroism of the fighters only leads to unnecessary self-sacrifice. Through the CPA we can build the people's army which can wage a successful revolutionary war to stop the fascist genocide, topple the fascist dictatorship and effectuate a socialist revolution in America.
No matter what, the Communist Party of America will never abandon the people's fighters.
WE DEMAND the immediate and unconditional release of Elias Rodriguez, whose heroic actions have struck fear in the hearts of the Zionists!

Mothers Day Is a Day of Peace
Statement of the Communist Party of America
May 11th, 2025
Since its earliest beginnings shortly after the conclusion of the Civil War, the Mothers Day celebration has brought together mothers of veterans - on both sides of conflicts, including the Civil War - in a symbolic unity which represents peace among brothers and between nations. The Civil War was a just and necessary war, but the spirit of peace which followed was undoubtedly a good thing for democracy and civil rights as the South underwent Black Reconstruction.
Its official inauguration as a United States holiday was in May, 1914 - shortly before the outbreak of World War I in late July. Mothers Day would then come to be hijacked by pro-war mothers of combatants once the U.S. entered the war, and its meaning perverted by the U.S. government to become a day to honor mothers...contribution to the war effort.
In time, a whole industry sprung up around the holiday. Its commercialization by the hegemonic juggernaut, big business, depoliticized Mothers Day altogether, rendering it a merely cultural, familial holiday meant to honor mothers in general - thus establishing the widest possible customer base to consume the avalanche of newly-minted Mothers Day commodities.
Today, Mothers Day in the U.S. is a purely bourgeois holiday. To the extent that it is political, it is imperialist, celebrating mothers who have contributed to the U.S. empire's illicit campaigns for wealth and power abroad.
The Communist Party of America seeks to rescue Mothers Day from the clutches of bourgeois-imperialist reaction. We anticipate the possibility that the Trump regime will seek to again hijack Mothers Day, this time in the service of fascist dictatorship, likely under the guise of "traditional family values," characterized by stereotyped and patriarchal roles for women.
The people must remember that Mothers Day is about honoring the mothers who have suffered and sacrificed because of the suffering and sacrifice of their children in wars - imperialist wars of aggression, almost all of them - and about bringing mothers together in the name of international peace, not imperialist war.
The CPA treasures peace as a natural desire of the people and a precondition for any kind of a good life. Therefore, on this Mothers Day,
WE DEMAND that the U.S. government to cease and desist all military operations abroad, to withdraw all U.S. military forces to within U.S. borders, to close all U.S. military bases abroad, to cease all U.S. military training and military assistance programs and agreements with all foreign nations and forces, to cancel and/or withdraw from all imperialist agreements and blocs - as per our Platform, to issue formal apologies to all countries impacted or affected by U.S. military activity, which have suffered crimes including but not limited to mass bombings, terrorist attacks, shootings, assassinations, targeted destruction of civilian infrastructure, support direct or indirect or guidance for fascist forces such as in Ukraine, and, the issuance of cash reparations to all countries thus affected, including, for example, Vietnam, North Korea, Laos, Cambodia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Libya, Panama, Grenada, the Philippines, and many other countries besides.
WE FURTHER DEMAND that the U.S. government cease and desist all so-called "intelligence" operations abroad which are in fact military adventures, some not all run by the CIA, whose purpose and nature is fundamentally military-political.
We do not expect these reasonable, if radical, demands to be met, however, we raise them first to apprise our enemy of our political stance in order to give them a reasonable opportunity to comply with the demands; second, we raise these demands in order to point to the hypocrisy of the U.S. government and especially of President-dictator Trump, before the eyes of the American people and the whole world, in their claims to be supporting "peace" and "democracy" throughout the world. In fact the U.S. is the chief war-monger in the world and, worse than that, is responsible for millions of civilian deaths, murdered directly or indirectly by its armed forces or its conscious, intentional and centrally-directed foreign policies.
The CPA wants peace, in America and throughout the world. We want an end to the police murders, the mass shootings, and to the gang- and drug-related killings here in America just as we want to see peace in the Middle East and Eastern Europe. We want a just peace, though, and so how we get there is important. There can be no peace in America while the capitalists drown American workers in poverty, forcing a section of our class to resort to crime to survive, or while the capitalist media bury the youth in criminal, imperialist and ultra-violent nonsense.
To achieve the real, substantial and just peace we all so deeply desire as peace-loving people, however, we must prepare for war. The U.S. is a dictatorship, and it must be honestly said that to defeat the fascists, a war of liberation may be necessary. Even if we defeat the fascists peacefully, which may be increasingly unlikely, we know that the U.S. under any government will oppose any socialist revolution by the workers with overwhelming violent force: they will wage war against "their own" people, just as they have abroad.
For our part, the Party welcomes the prospect of a war against fascism: it is our duty and right to fight for democracy and freedom, if the people will it. We also welcome the prospect of a war for socialism, as that is the sole path to the emancipation of the working class, the path to socialism. However, on Mothers Day, we honor one of the highest principles which we are all fighting for, peace, and we firmly implore the U.S. government to relent in its criminal, imperialist escapades around the globe and to end its genocidal reign of terror, coercion and super-exploitation, and its fascist dictatorship at home. We believe it is never too late to do the right thing.
LONG LIVE MOTHERS DAY, A DAY OF PEACE AND INTERNATIONAL FRIENDSHIP!
DOWN WITH THE IMPERIALIST BASTARDIZATION OF MOTHERS DAY!
CRUSH THE FASCISTS!
Statement of the Communist Party of America on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Soviet defeat of the Nazis
May 9th, 2025
80 years ago today, the mighty Soviet Red Army, together with the Allies, defeated the Nazis, effectively ending fascism in Europe. This accomplishment was reached at enormous cost. Millions of lives were lost, and countless fighters heroically sacrificed their own lives, in the fight to bring an end to the Nazi reign of terror. Let us not forget, in particular, the brave and heroic exploits of the Partisan Communist fighters who risked life and limb - and often gave their lives - alongside their compatriots in the fight to emancipate their lands from Hitlerism and fascism and to bring about socialist republics in their own countries.
The dark history of Nazi and Axis rule, with its mass deportations, concentration camps, death camps and innumerable massacres, torture, beatings, degradation, abrogation of all rights, freedom and democracy, and the genocide of six million Jews, paint a bleak picture of fascist rule. Though other fascist powers were less extreme, they too were characterized by utter brutality, murderousness and lawlessness. This history shows why we must stand together against the new fascist menace: Donald Trump's Presidential "MAGA" dictatorship.
We don't need to look to the past to understand the threat, though. Trump has already sought to abolish birthright citizenship; he has violated the law dozens of times in taking sweeping executive actions beyond his authority and without authorization from Congress; he has overseen the renewal in this country of political arrests persecuting those practicing free speech and freedom of assembly; his regime has illegally deported citizens as well as innocent people, such as Abrego Garcia; he has overseen the mass bombing of Yemen's civilian population and infrastructure; and he has fully restored and continues to support funding, arming and diplomatic support for Israel's genocide, even seeking to participate directly in it through direct U.S. administration for purposes of genocide - and gentrification; he has purged the intelligence agencies and the executive branch of anyone perceived as being disloyal to him; attacked LGBTQIA+ rights; attacked language rights; attacked union rights; and is spearheading an attack on SNAP, Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, Section 8, Meals on Wheels, donations to food pantries, the Library of Congress, health, safety and environmental regulations, BIPOC, women, students, and immigrants.
To hold the fascists at bay requires the all-people's front tactic. Revolutionaries, if they are worth their salt, must not only join in all the anti-fascist mass demonstrations and mass actions such as the boycotts but must also hold their noses and vote for liberal politicians in races where there is a potential fascist threat and no viable progressive or left-wing candidate, thereby uniting with the middle class and even the anti-fascist section, the liberal section of the ruling class. This will not stop the fascists, who resort inevitably to crime, force and violence to achieve their ends, as we can already see with Trump's use of ICE and the US Marshalls to bully, intimidate and terrorize the people, civil society and even the judiciary. It can, however, slow them down, by keeping their people from gaining further elected power, by helping to push elected fascists out of power and by signaling a democratic, anti-fascist popular mandate which emboldens the people's movement. Seeing that there is a large and vibrant anti-fascist popular movement will encourage judges and other officials to 'do the right thing' and stand up to Trump and his cronies.
Ultimately, we think this bulwark will fail, as the capitalists pour more money into the fascist cause and as the fascists consolidate their political power through the Federal government's executive branch. That is why the anti-fascist united front is simultaneously necessary: we must unite workers, the poor, civil society organizations, left-wing organizations and parties, and progressive activists in a massive coalition that can stand up to Trump and which has the power to shut down society until the fascists step down. Whereas the all-people's front is a necessarily informal alliance, because the imperialists will never openly cooperate with the Communists, the united front is necessarily a formal coalition, because that level of unity is required in order for the movement to effectively challenge Trumpism through a unified strategy with unified tactics.
The anti-fascist united front can carry the democratic revolution against Trump forward to the socialist revolution against capitalism and for the worker- and oppressed masses. It does this because it builds unity, and in that unity, in the struggle, the workers - in particular, the workers - learn how to fight for their interests collectively, how to struggle for political power -- and to struggle against Trumpism begs the question, of course, what are we fighting for? A return to the same liberal democracy which got us here in the first place? Or a democratic socialist republic which will strive to suppress fascism forever?
Today the people are struggling for democracy, and we are with them. If tomorrow they choose socialism, we will be there with them, too. Either way, the Communist Party of America is devoted not only to the cause of socialist revolution in America but also and just as much to the anti-fascist cause of democracy in America. It is up to the people to decide: what kind of democracy? Capitalist, or socialist?
In the battles ahead, let us be steadfast in each fight we face with the enemy: at the polls, as well as in the streets. Let us stand tall against the injurious and iniquitous fascist hordes. Let us, if need be, raise our swords in battle, as our forebearers have done - and we will see glorious red victory in the end, continuing the grand tradition of the wars of the Communists against fascism and for democracy and socialism.
May Day 2025: Rally Our Forces for the Struggle Ahead
Statement of the Communist Party of America
May 1st, 2025
We call it International Workers Day. It is the day when the masses of the proletariat, the peasantry and the oppressed people of the whole world honor and celebrate the brave and prodigious battles of the past and present by the oppressed and exploited people in our fight for dignity, justice, and power.
May Day is the most important holiday of the year for Communists. We march, rally and take action to renew our fight annually, to revivify the class war and to take stock of our forces, our support and our political strength, and to display our organized power to the ruling class.
Since 1889, workers, trade-unionists, anarchists, socialists, and Communists have come out every May 1st throughout the U.S. The CPA honors and upholds this as a great, internationalist tradition which serves to boost the labor movement and class-consciousness here while linking our movement with the same movement that spans the globe.
This May Day we are faced with a grave threat: the threat of fascism. Donald Trump is constructing a fascist dictatorship with himself as dictator, and is steamrolling all social progress achieved by the struggling masses over the last 90 years. The CPA therefore urges the people to join up in the all-people's front against the dictatorship by, first of all, participating in elections to vote against the fascist candidates, and also by joining and supporting the mass demonstrations now breaking out all around the nation. We also urge the workers in particular to join in the anti-fascist united front, the coalition of workers, civil society and the left uniting in hard struggle against the fascist depredations of the Trump regime.
Still, this may not be enough. If Trump continues down the path of despotism, towards absolute dictatorship, we may have no choice but to take up arms in defense of the democracy. We are not afraid of this: we proclaim without reservation that should a war be necessary, we will be the first to throw ourselves into battle on the side of democracy, against fascism. We tell the people: do not be afraid, be strong, be brave, be bold! Many times fascists and dictators have oppressed their own people: many times have the people liberated themselves after a hard struggle. Sooner or later, one way or another, the dictatorship will fall before the awesome might of the organized masses of the people.
Today, then, let us recall with pride the battles of the past. The Great Railroad Strike of 1877, the Homestead Strike of 1892, the Pullman Strike of 1894, the Colorado Labor Wars, the West Virginia Coal Wars and the Battle of Blair Mountain, the Great Steel Strike, the Coal Strike of 1922, and so on. In each of these fights, American workers fought arms-in-hand against their oppressors and exploiters, against the companies, the bosses and their state apparatus. The great revolutionary period of the 1960's and 1970's brought us the brave, armed Black Panther Party and the valiant and heroic revolutionary armed struggle of some of their fighters, along with many others from the Black Liberation Army, the Weather Underground, and many others, who fought against racist, capitalist imperialism for national liberation and socialism.
In the great battles of the present and the future, we must hold the memory of our predecessors close to our hearts, as their examples show us the way forward, both in practical lessons and the lessons learned from their mistakes.
Comrades, we face a trying period ahead of us, but it is also destined to be a period of unparalleled, momentous fight-back. Now is the time for us to unite. All anti-fascist forces must unite in the all-people's front. All workers must unite in the united front. And all communists must unite in the Communist Party of America. This is the way forward.
LONG LIVE INTERNATIONAL WORKERS DAY!
LONG LIVE THE ALL-PEOPLE'S FRONT!
LONG LIVE THE ANTI-FASCIST UNITED FRONT!
LONG LIVE THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF AMERICA!
Declaration of the Formation of the Communist Party of America
April 11th, 2025
Workers! Oppressed people! Comrades!
A new Communist Party has formed - the Communist Party of America (CPA)! We launch our struggle in earnest, in the wake of innumerable victories and defeats, in the heart of the empire. We declaim the old political detritus which has infected and hobbled the revolutionary workers from our righteous battle and our just prize, power, while muddying the Communist name and the socialist struggle. The traitorous reformists and revisionists, whose endless betrayals of the workers and the oppressed masses, must no longer be allowed to dominate the Left unchallenged.
The CPA is fundamentally a Maoist party. We recognize all the key concepts of Marxism and Leninism and understand Maoism to be the scientific development of Marxism-Leninism. Those 'orthodox' Marxists-Leninists have not learned the lessons of history. Chiefly, they have not learned that socialist revolution means revolutionary war, and so they have not understood any of the lessons that that principle necessarily entails, especially the need for clandestinity, secrecy in organization.
The entire existing sum of left-wing organizations in this country are organically incapable of making revolution, because a) they do not have a strategic conception of the inevitability of protracted people's war, and b) they lack clandestinity in their organizations. This means that they cannot and will not ever steer their ranks to a successful revolutionary struggle, simply because they do not conceive of one, but rather imagine that the revolution will take place through some one-off insurrection, or otherwise imagine that, somehow, the masses will be magically prepared overnight to go to war and that they will bring it to a swift if not immediate conclusion. This is sheer folly. Others, the revisionists, the Eurocommunists and reformists, actually believe that they will reform the U.S. government into a socialist state. This has nothing to do with Marxism, let alone Leninism, and is completely wrong and doomed. The ranks of these organizations, furthermore, are all at risk of targeting and persecution because of the public and above-ground nature of these organizations.
There are a few exceptions and we take note of those organizations which do take security culture seriously or are actually underground. But then many of these lack the confidence to transform into political parties - for what reason, we do not know. Indeed there seems to be an erroneous fear among Maoists in particular of forming a political party - yet this is our first duty as Communists in the modern era.
The combined ecological and environmental catastrophe is reaching unknown heights. Coral bleaching, deforestation, and despeciation combined with transformed migration patterns, invasive species, and increasing numbers of increasingly dangerous extreme weather events are combining into a perfect storm threatening crops and livestock production, international trade and the human food supply. Scientists estimate that only a few decades of viable, farmable topsoil are left. Many water tables and sources are running dry as populations continue to expand. These facts put a hard limit on the necessity for a socialist revolution in America to dramatically alter society and reverse the destructive course the capitalist imperialists have put us on. If we don't make a socialist revolution within the next 20 years, the country and the planet could sink irretrievably into societal collapse, mass death and ruin.
The preferred electoral strategy of the reformists risks running over the time limit: already proven not to work, it now risks dragging us over the edge and into the abyss. Reformism as a solution must be wholly abandoned by the people forever. This does not mean we cannot struggle in part using elections and fighting for reforms, however, it does mean that we cannot count on elections or reforms ever bringing us revolution - and it does mean recognizing that the more time, energy and resources we put into elections and reforms, the less we are putting into revolutionary struggle, i.e., preparation for revolutionary war.
Why war? Because every socialist revolution in history has been accompanied by a civil war, a war between the old state and new state, a war between the capitalists and their military on the one hand and the proletariat and their military on the other. We desire this war because it is fundamentally a war of emancipation from wage-slavery, a war which brings dignity to the fighters and the people who valiantly battle for human freedom and socialist democracy. We desire this war because it is the only way out of the current impasse.
The capitalist class has imposed fascism on America, just as it has previously done all around the world. The CPA formed in part because we recognize that much of the "revolutionary" "Communist" "left" has failed utterly to properly situate and recognize, let alone fight against, this threat of fascist dictatorship. Those who have have done so, have done so largely along reformist and even liberal lines, leaving the masses in the lurch and dissipating our collective strength. It falls to a new generation of leaders, a new organization, a new revolutionary force, a new Party, the Communist Party of America, to try our hand at uniting and leading the fight against fascism in this country. It is the fundamental and historic duty of the Communist Party to lead the fight against fascism, and we intend to fulfill this role to the very best of our collective ability.
We believe in the strength of the all-people's front, and in the power of the anti-fascist united front. The all-people's front means the unity of all people from all backgrounds across the country uniting in the struggle against the fascist menace: in the streets, at work, and at the polls. This happens when community groups stand together for people's rights, and it happens when people vote together for an anti-fascist candidate. It's not about purity of tactics, it's about sticking together with each other in the face of fascism. The united front is similar in that it brings people together, but this focuses on the working class and oppressed people in particular, and their organizations, especially trade-unions and people's struggle organizations. The all-people's front is a liberal, sometimes progressive stop-gap that helps to hold the fascists at bay or frustrate their accession to power; the united front builds the real strength of the proletariat and prepares us for the hard battles we'll have to wage to defeat the fascists. The united front also paves the way forward for the socialist revolution, laying the mass basis of organized support and struggle for socialism - workers' power.
We can't do it alone. But to do it together, we'll have to overcome pervasive sectarianism, puritanism and opportunism on the part of the "revolutionary" left, and reformism and revisionism on the part of the movement's right wing, all of which hinders the desperately needed cooperation we must achieve if we are to issue a truly powerful response to the Trump regime.
The road to socialist revolution is paved through the struggle against fascism. By uniting the masses in the battle for democracy, and especially in the course of that battle, the class-consciousness of the people will rise precipitously, far past trade-union consciousness, and the people will demand a revolution. The CPA will be there to lead us.
Fellow workers, oppressed people, comrades! The time has come to shake off the reformist and revisionist deadweight of the past. Time is short! We must begin preparing for the final showdown with the imperialist capitalists and their state, if we are to have a chance at saving humanity from a collapse of the food supply, fascist despotism and World War 3. We must prepare for the possibility of a war for democracy, to defeat the Trump dictatorship, and we must prepare for the revolutionary war to liberate the oppressed nations and to bring about socialism in America.
Today, we are still in a peaceful, democratic period of struggle - but it has already reached extralegal bounds, because of the despotism of the Trump government. The time has definitively come when it has become necessary to peacefully break the law to protest the fascist dictatorship. Political strikes - illegal in the U.S. under the Taft-Hartley Act - must be undertaken to disrupt the rapid fascization of the country. Occupations of government buildings by Federal workers to prevent DOGE- or Trump-led purges, layoffs, shuttering and fascist reorganization efforts must be undertaken. Students must escalate and intensify their occupations. Especially the masses must be apprised of and educated about the general strike tactic. All this must be linked with the masses, the mass struggle, if it is to be successful.
If the democratic window is closed to the people by the Trump dictatorship, we will be forced to take up arms in the name of anti-fascism and democracy. If the people, the masses, should choose in time to seek a socialist revolution, all must know that it will lead inevitably to civil war: let no-one mislead you on this issue.
Bearing these facts in mind, we proudly proclaim the formation of the Communist Party of America, a party of, by and for the working class and oppressed people of America, solemnly sworn and devoted to crushing the fascists and to establishing the new socialist state.
We will not quit until we win. We will fight to the death. And in the end, we will win: the people will win.
LONG LIVE THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF AMERICA!
